Dr. Zachary Levin

Zachary J. Levin, D.M.D., M.A.

Board Certified Orthodontist

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Dr. Levin, a third-generation orthodontist, graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience. He then received a Master of Arts in medical science from Boston University School of Medicine completing a thesis entitled, "Cloning and Expression of a Mutant Recombinant Human mTLL-1 Enzyme." This was followed by a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he was awarded the Everett Shapiro Endowed Prize Fund in Orthodontics. Dr. Levin went on to complete a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics where he published a review article, "Skeletal Stability and Neurosensory Disturbance with Bilateral Sagittal Split Ramus Osteotomy," in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and wrote a manuscript, "Acceptability of Nasolabial Angle Change by Orthodontic Patients." He currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Jacksonville University College of Healthcare Sciences.

Dr. Levin is one of the few orthodontists in the area board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by only 30% of all orthodontists. He is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Georgia Dental Association. He is also on staff at the Center for Cleft and Craniofacial Disorders at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and has been a regular volunteer at Ben Massell Dental Clinic. Dr. Levin practiced as a Diamond+ Invisalign® provider, the highest designation, and he frequently lectures on the clear aligner system. He is the first, and currently only, orthodontist in Cobb County to offer INBRACE lingual (behind the teeth) braces.

Dr. Levin and his wife, Shannen, a litigation attorney, are proud Atlantans and members of the local community along with their son, Barrett, and daughter, Brody.

Dr. Leslie Fish, Oral Surgeon - Chandler, AZ (Father-In-Law)

Third Generation

1989: I spent many days at my dad's office throughout my childhood. It was a second home for me and for him - a place where he practiced what he loved, never "working" a day in his life.

2008: Graduated from Tulane University with a B.S. in neuroscience. Off to grad school in Boston!

2010: Graduated from Boston University School of Medicine with a Master's in medical science. Next stop: dental school.

2014: Graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Headed south for my residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

2016: Graduated from Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics. Soon traveled a few hours north to settle down near family in the Peach State.

2019: I was fortunate to take over the practice of the retiring Dr. Wendy Katz, one of my dad’s dental school classmates 39 years prior. Levin Orthodontics was born!
